NetOz backs up the files for each website environment automatically, every day. You can download any stored backup from the NetOz Portal, or take a new one on demand, for example before updating plugins or launching a redesign.

Before you start

Step 1 Open Backups for the environment

Go to Applications and open your website. On the environment card, select Backups. You can also choose Manage, then Backups and Application Backups.

Step 2 Check your latest backup

The summary shows when the latest backup was taken, how many are stored and the size of the latest one. Below it, every backup is listed newest first with its date, file name, age and size.

Hover over a backup and select the download icon at the end of the row. The archive downloads straight from secure storage through a link that only works for a short time.

Restoring a backup

A files backup is a .tar.gz archive of the environment’s website files. If you need a backup restored to your site, raise a support ticket from the application page and tell us which backup to use.
