Data Deletion Request

Request the deletion of your personal data from our systems.

Important Note: This data deletion request process applies to the NetOz public website (netoz.au), the NetOz Network Tools mobile application (iOS and Android), online tools, and support services. Data deletion requests for hosting services, dedicated infrastructure, or other contracted services should be submitted through your account manager or as specified in your service agreement.

Your Right to Deletion

Under Australian privacy law, you have the right to request deletion of your personal information that we hold. We are committed to respecting your privacy and will process legitimate deletion requests in a timely manner.

What Data Can Be Deleted

Upon request, we can delete the following data associated with our website, mobile application, and support services:

  • Contact form submissions and enquiry records
  • Helpdesk tickets and support correspondence
  • WhatsApp conversation history (our copy)
  • Email correspondence records
  • Data associated with your use of the mobile application (usage analytics and any stored preferences synced to our servers)
  • Any other personal information you have provided to us

Data We Cannot Delete

Certain data may be retained even after a deletion request due to legal, regulatory, or legitimate business requirements:

  • Records required for legal compliance or regulatory obligations
  • Information necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims
  • Transaction records required for accounting or tax purposes
  • Aggregated or anonymised data that cannot identify you
  • Data held by third parties (such as WhatsApp's own records, Google Analytics data, or app store records from Apple or Google)

How to Submit a Request

To request deletion of your data, please email us with the following information:

  • Your full name
  • Email address(es) associated with your data
  • Phone number (if you contacted us via WhatsApp)
  • Description of the data you want deleted
  • Any relevant ticket numbers or reference IDs

We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and aim to complete the deletion within 30 days. We may contact you to verify your identity before processing your request.

Third-Party Data

Please note that we cannot delete data held by third-party services. For data held by these services, please contact them directly:

  • Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics which collects anonymised usage data. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or manage your data through your Google Account settings.
  • WhatsApp: Messages stored on WhatsApp's servers are subject to WhatsApp's Privacy Policy. You can delete messages from your device or contact WhatsApp directly for data requests.
  • App Stores: Data collected by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store (such as download history and reviews) is managed by Apple and Google respectively. Please refer to their privacy policies and account settings to manage that data.

Mobile App Data

The NetOz Network Tools mobile app processes tool queries through our servers. To remove locally stored data from the app, you can uninstall the application from your device, which will delete all local app data including preferences and cached results. To request deletion of any data stored on our servers from your use of the mobile app, follow the same email process described above.
